Howdy, friends! Here’s an update on what’s next for Judah.

Surgery & Recovery

In April, Judah underwent a bone scan and X-rays and we received great news — the tests came back clear!

This Wednesday afternoon (tomorrow) we do another round of surveillance. He’ll get a dose of radioactive iodine and then a scan on Thursday morning. The doctors are on the hunt for any thyroid cancer cells still floating around that take up the iodine. If they see anything they don’t like, Judah will be admitted for another dose of the radioactive isotope that he had last year. That would mean another week of isolation while the radioactivity wears off.

Prayer & Faith

But of course, we’re exercising our faith and interceding for this week’s scans to also show up clear. A trusted friend had a dream in the fall of 2015 in which I told her “the scan was ALL CLEAR!” She said it seemed so real that when she woke up she thought that I really told her that.

Prayer & Declaration

Well, that dream came right before Judah had an ultrasound which revealed some more spots that we had surgically removed in March. That felt like a setback in our battle. But, we were encouraged when the bone X-rays came back clear last month! So, we continue to war in prayer for breakthrough as we head into this week’s scans. We are determined to prevail in prayer! Judah’s battle will be won and he will move forward in victory.
